We understand that since WPC is a new product that has been inducted in the market. There are a lot of questions which surrounds the products. here in this blog, we have tried to solve all your queries by giving you an insight as to what kind of a product WPC is!
1. Raw Usage
We can leave the WPC boards surface plain since it is glossy in nature. This implies you can directly use the boards in their original form in Kitchen carcasses, wardrobes, bathroom vanities etc. which will certainly look great. Moreover, this saves a lot of your money as you don't have to laminate it, paint it or apply veneer on it. This is the biggest advantage of the product. Also, there is no risk of “Delamination” in the future.
However, if you want to laminate it, you can carry out that as well on our WPC boards.
2. Painting
Well, you can paint it too according to your personalisations. Moreover, various painting finishes that can be performed on WPC include DUCO Paint, Oil Paint, PU paint, Melamine Paint. Any company’s product can be applied to WPC, there are no specific products of any specific company that we suggest you use over our products.
3. Laminating
However, water-based and enamel-based paint won't work on WPC Boards. Now coming to laminating Veneer, PVC laminate can be used on WPC as both of these are sister products of PVC because of which their bonding is very strong. By using PVC solvent cement glue you can stick PVC laminate with PVC Board and it is recommended that you should carry lamination on both sides or else there can be a problem of bending as the surface (if one side is laminated) will attract the lamination towards it. Normal lamination can be used but since WPCs have a non-porous substrate hence this is not recommended.
But "PIDILITE" has made a new adhesive called "REALM". It isn't available everywhere in India. However, we recommend you to get in touch with PIDILITE for the same and reconfirm the Products credibility from your side before using it.
“LOHMANN TAPE” can be used for laminating Veneer, the tests were carried out by us and it was successful and the video of the same is available on our YouTube channel and you can see it for yourself the right installation process. Also, you can create any designs, Flatbed UV Printing, UV Gloss coat etc. on the WPC Board.
