How MPC Grills Are Better Than Louvers

How MPC Grills Are Better Than Louvers

There are a lot of builders and architects who choose Louvers especially in the southern part of India. These Louvers despite being a conventional product are massively used today. Louvers are the straight lines that are being used.

There are three major kinds of Louvers that are primarily being used today, they are - MS Louvers, Aluminium Louvers and UPVC Louvers.

Disadvantages of Aluminium Louvers are presented here.

1. Standard Look

Aluminium Louvers have a standardised look just like all other louvers and comes in the shape of lines that doesn't really yell up with any of the buildings. It doesn't give the building the aesthetic look which MPC gives. Also, there are issues of bending that we have observed in case of Aluminium louvers and we have a case study, wherein, a builder had used aluminium louvers in Noida and because of Bending problems they had to replace them with MPC Grills.

2. Lack Of Strength

The second disadvantage is that aluminium louvers don’t have that much of strength when we compare them with the GRC and MPC grills. Also, specifically, when we consider the wind pressure because there is no perforation and they’re are straightened in nature. Hence, they are unable to sustain much wind pressures, especially in High Rise Buildings.

Now coming to the disadvantages of UPVC Louvers.

1. Composition

The core composition of both the products i.e the UPVC and MPC is the same, that is they are both a sister product of PVC. But the major disadvantage that they have is of standardised look.

2. Outdated Look
When straight-line louvers are attached to one's buildings then it doesn't comply with the building.

3. No Possible Customisations

You cannot get them in customised choices. Hence, they tend to give a very old and noisy look. Along with it, they require ample installation and fabrication time which rather increases the cost of the product.

Coming to the disadvantages of the last type of MS Louvers.

1. Standard Look

Well, they are not louvers rather they're plain strips which are used and designed in a way that makes them look like a louver.

2. Not Exterior-Friendly
They are not exterior friendly products and are not rustproof, they require painting every now and then in order to sustain which adds to the cost of the grill.

3. Not Cost-Effective

But at the end of the day even though if it is a cost-effective product, it doesn't sustain for long and brings in maintenance charge along with it, which at points gets hectic for the customer.
