Door Frames Made From Door Sheets VS Pre Extruded Door Frames

Door Frames Made From Door Sheets VS Pre Extruded Door Frames

1. The first difference is that it is considered a “Jugaad” and it is not a good product at all, as its strength is very weak since it is made of two fused layers.

In many cases when the real load falls on the frames, then their bonding lines have been observed to have cracks. The second issue is that the density of the door is 0.7mm. So, the door frames too are made of the same density and trust us, this is not at all a good density for a door frame application because the entire door is hung on it and it has to be opened and closed every minute. In order to have a strengthened product, the minimum recommended density is 1mm.

2. Encapsulation

However, the doors that we make, contains a rigid 8mm PVC layer on the six sides, along with a density of 1.4 diameter that gives you a strong core and allows you to hang any door of your choice thereby makes the product sturdy.

3. Screwing

So, what happens when you screw it, the rebating area which has two layers and when the screw passes through it, it strengthens the screw withdrawal and gives you a uniform finish. Door Sheet frames have a glossy finish because they are extruded in such a shape but the rebate area has a rough finish and because of which it doesn’t look like a good product, whereas the WPC product that we make has a uniform finish on all its sides. Door frames which are carved out of door sheets have water and moisture absorption comparatively high as it is a porous substance. Also, it has to be painted, because of which unnecessarily a lot of time and financial resources are wasted. Any influencer whether he/she is an architect, contractor, etc. should rather promote wood then this product. So, the industry doesn’t get impacted much. Ultimately, it is replacing a conventional method
