Differences Between FRP And MPC

Differences Between FRP And MPC

FRP stands for Fibre Reinforced Composite and MPC stands for Mineral Polymer Composite. If you are looking for differences between both the products i.e MPC and FRP, then you are the right place.

Here we have discussed the major differences between MPC and FRP grills.

1. Composition

Toxic chemicals are used in the manufacturing of FRP, which results in VOC emissions from the product. Even after usage and during manufacturing it releases hazardous VOC emissions which is very hazardous whereas the chemicals used in MPC are non-harmful.

2. Lead Time

When we talk about FRP they are made on moulds and their lead time is much higher. However, incase, of MPC, since it is an engineered product and is being made on CNC machine hence the lead time is very low. We have the capacity to provide 50000 sq feet in less than a month's time.

3. Finishing Time

Any product made on moulds compromises its core finish. Incase of MPC grills since they are made via the use of German encapsulation technology and Italian machines. Hence, you get a product which is crafted in accordance with maximum precision.

4. Designing

In FRP, there are certain design limitations since it is made on moulds. Hence, intricate designs are very hard to be carved on it. However, in the case of MPC, it is very easy to make intricate designs.

5. Cost

In today's times, we all know how important money is and if the cost is not in the budget, then we will not be willing to use them. And in this scenario, If a better quality product which is green, non-toxic, waterproof, termite proof, offers a lifetime guarantee & warranty and above all if it’s cheaper which MPC is! Then why would anyone like using the costly FRP frames?

6. Application

Last but not the least is that FRP’s are majorly used in exteriors but MPC's can be used in both the applications be it in exteriors or interiors.
